Susie’s Mischievous Welcome Message from Singing Bridge:
“I think this worked! Please laugh with us Susie! And if you feel like writing and adding stories or painting or anything you wish to share we would love you to be one of the creators!
You are definitely an inspiration!”
Dear 🎵 Bridgers 🎵
Clearly, some of us wear our clumsy, broken humanity more visibly than others. If you received our welcome email to Susie! and thought, “Wait…who is Susie? Did I accidentally subscribe to a newsletter from a family I’ve never met?”— First of all, thank you for your patience (and humor). Second, yes, you absolutely did. But don’t worry, you are in the right place.
Of course, Susie is here, playing jokes on us from beyond the inbox. That is what she does! And yes, there may have been some initial confusion, maybe even mild embarrassment (ok a lot of embarrassment on my part!). But let’s be honest — she loves it! The momentary confusion, the raised eyebrows, shock, and then — boom — the laughter. Mission accomplished.
Auntie Susie was not just a person. She was a force. And now she is a serious legend. A one-woman Department of Joy, operating with an unlimited budget of mischief still mixing it up down here as she giggles from above. She specialized in surprise, spectacle, and sending my mom gold lamé dresses and twinkle-dancing shoes for spontaneous garden discos. (Yes — she wore them. And yes — we should all be so lucky to receive such outrageous costumes in the mail – for gardening of course!)

But Susie didn’t just invent this brand of fun-loving chaos — she inherited it from Auntie Marge and my grandmother Celina, whose lifelong bond was built on practical jokes, spontaneous joy, and keeping life delightfully silly and unpredictable. Naturally, my mom became fast friends with her daughter Susie, because in our family, humor is hereditary, and ridiculousness skips zero generations.
So if you are here, it means you, too, believe that life could use more giggles and the occasional well-placed glitter bomb. And lots of unpredictable mischief and twinkles on our toes. So Buckle up. And if, one day, you find yourself opening an unmarked package to discover a pair of sequined stilettos or a gold lamé dress — for the garden of course – you are welcome! You just got Susied. And as we all know, there is only one rule: play it forward. Keep the fun alive. Susie is now up above egging us all on in the fun!
And yes please laugh with and at us — Welcome to Singing Bridge!

Very warm. We all need more Susies
Love this, especially the sister's photo. C2 is the Adventurous Sister, just off her cross-country skis.
