Really beautifully written, Celina- captures the essence of community in a small town. Wish I could be there for the lighting!

You are with us in spirit and a big part of the inspiration for this project! What you have created in Livingston Manor continues to resonate and ripple outward, offering inspiration to rural communities like ours — a reminder of how imagination, care, and place can remake the world.

I am not politically motivated at this stage in my life, but I hope our readers will feel the spark to engage. And I will connect you to my friend interested in a similar vision. I mentioned to some friends I have been thinking about resurrecting the Bull Moose Party. Not as a nostalgia act, but as a forward-facing movement rooted in the fierce conservation ethic that Roosevelt lived and breathed, combined with the courageous bull moose energy combined with a more up to date visionary, expansive, possibility-driven mindset the world urges us to imagine in this time of climate collapse . A party grounded not in spectacle, but in stewardship. Not in slogans, but in the long, patient work of caring for land, water, forests, and the communities who depend on them.

But I realized I am not ready to enter the political arena myself at this stage of my life. I hope that some of you —reading this with that quiet spark in your chest —might feel called to step forward — to pick up the mantle — to design a political future worthy of the landscapes we love.

I see some synergies and know movements are born in the space between kindred imaginations. And I’ll stay tuned, fully supportive, cheering for a more accountable, more just, more human-centered parties. One that sees citizens, not consumers. One that recognizes that the greatest wealth this nation holds is not in markets, but in mountains; not in commodities, but in communities; not in extraction, but in the shared promise of a thriving, resilient home. Go Team!
